FAQ for Sellers:
Will this take a lot of time?
It will take less time than organizing a garage sale. Our user-friendly online tagging system helps speed up the process. Once you sort your items, just enter online and print any time at any printer (home, library, or store). Attach your tags and you’re ready to go!
I usually just donate my items. Isn’t that more beneficial to the community?
You can mark any or all items that do not sell for donation (unless on our ‘cannot donate’ list). The items are passed on to local charities and distributed back into our community. We provide a receipt for donated items.
How much money will I make?
Sellers will get a check for 70% of their sold items. The average seller check is between $300-400. That amount will vary based on how many items your bring to the resale. Some of our top sellers have made ~$1000!
Won’t I make more money if I sell it myself at a garage sale or on a buy/sell/trade group?
True, you don’t have to pay a registration fee or give up a percentage of your sales. However, we do most of the work for you including advertising We typically have between 700-800 people shop at KidStuff Resale.
How much work do I actually have to do?
Register, pay the registration fee, enter your inventory, print your tags, adhere your tags, drop them off, fulfill one Team Member Shift, pick up your items a few hours after the sale concludes. We do the rest! Our Quality Control team inspects all items for the 3 C’s (clean, complete, compliant), we sell the items, and then sort and pack up your unsold items when the resale is over. Then we mail you your check within 2 weeks!
Do you provide hangers?
No, we were the last sale in the area to provide them. Save your hangers!
Can I bring my 6 year old with me to my Team Member Shift?
Everyone on the floor during a Team Member Shift must be over the age of 12 and accompanied by an adult. Age requirements [link]
I can’t make my Team Member Shift
Anyone can fulfill your Team Member Shift on your behalf. Your husband, family member, friend, neighbor, etc. Just email us with their name!
